Apple Crumble Crisp


  • 5 apples, peeled diced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup apple juice or apple cider
Topping:
2 packets cinnamon brown sugar oatmeal(or any kind)
1/8th cup water
Dough:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup shortening or butter(cold)
1/4 cup cold water

How2:

preheat oven to 350df

On stove top add brown sugar,regular sugar,cinnamon, and apple juice on low heat wait until it melts.
Once melted add in flour it will become thick.  Chop the apples, add them into the sauce.
Mix until well combined, some of the apples liquids will release and form a liquid sauce.remove from heat.
Add to a slightly greased baking dish.
Make the dough topping by mixing flour with cold shortening to form crumble texture, then add water in slowly to form a dough.
Mix Instant oatmeal with 1/8 cup of water to just slightly moisten the oats.
place the oatmeal on top of apples followed by pieces of dough. make sure they are small crumbles or pieces which ever your prefer.
Bake for 15-20mins until the dough on top is golden brown. and the apples are cooked and the sauce is bubbling 
serve as is or with some vanilla bean ice cream! ENJOY!
