2 cups basmati rice
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes.
2 or3 bullion cubes ( you may use veg, chicken or beef the amount varies by their size)
1 bay leave
4 tablespoons butter
4 cups water warm water
How2:
clean and strain the rice.
In a pot slowly melt the butter try not to brown it.
crumble the bullion cubes into the butter add bay leaf.
Add 4 cups warm or hot water to speed up the process of the water boiling.
Bring to a boil, add the strained rice.
Allow it to come up to a boil again then cover and reduce heat on low.
cook covered for about 15mins or until a form inserted into bottom shows no liquid.
turn heat off allow rice to rest in the pot covered. this allows the liquid to redistribute making a fluffy rice.
You may add a bit more butter if you prefer.
Serve with any dish! ENJOY
Note: I use Halal Maggi cubes just know bullion cubes vary from each brand so try out the recipe and see what works best for you.
