3lbs beef ribs
4 tablespoons bbq sauce ( I prefer vinegar based)
1 tablespoon liquid smoke(Optional if you cant find it)
spice rub:
1 tablespoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon chili powder(not hot)
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/8th teaspoon black pepper
1/8th teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder or dried onion flakes
1/2 teaspoon ground garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
how2:
Preheat oven to 350DF
In a bowl of plate mix the spices together.
Place the ribs in a baking pan, rub into the meat the liquid smoke. this will help the meat taste like it has been cooked in a bbq grill, and it will help the rub stay on the beef.
Place the rub on the ribs rub on each side to coat them well.
You may let the ribs sit over night or a few hours in the spice rub but you may leave them to rest as less than 15mins just until the oven has got hot enough.
To the ribs use only 1/2 of the BBQ sauce rub it into the spice rub and meat.
cover the pan, lower the ovens heat down to 115DF-200DF
Bake for 2 1/2-3 hours.
Once they are almost done remove the foil smear the remaining BBQ sauce over the ribs.
place the oven on broil cook until the BBQ sauce becomes slightly caramelized 1-2mins.
