1 cup basmati rice
1/2 cup mixed vegetables
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
1/2 teaspoon oil
How2:
In a pot add the vegetables, oil saute for a few seconds. add water,broth,sazon spice.
bring to a boil.
clean and strain rice. once the broth boils well add rice, followed by salt. bring to another boil.
cover and place on low heat. cook for 15-20mins until liquid if dry and its fluffy. once it drys i turn the heat off and let it sit on the warm burner to allow the moisture to go back into the rice.
TIPS:If you don't have sazon in your area you may use 1teaspoon achiote powder, mixed with 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder,1/4 teaspoon onion powder,1/4 teaspoon cumin powder,1/4 teaspoon coriander powder.Mix it together well. add it to your recipes.
