Stovetop Lemon Garlic Chicken

5 chicken thighs or any part of the chicken you enjoy
2 lemons ,juiced
5 cloves  of crushed garlic
1 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon chili flakes
salt
1 cup mixed bell peppers sliced
water(enough to cover the chicken)
1 tablespoon natural butter,or ghee

How to:

In a skillet add butter or ghee on med heat.
season the chicken with some salt 1 teaspoon of the pepper and chili flakes.
Place chicken into skillet and brown on both sides.

Once the chicken is browned(don't worry about cooking it yet this is just to develop flavor) remove from pan and add the bell peppers. saute for about 3 mins.

Re-add the chicken and add enough water to come up to the edge of the chicken. bring up to a simmer reduce heat,cover and cook for about 35mins until the chicken is fully cooked.

In a bowl or a cut add crushed garlic,pinch of salt, remaining 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper,
pour over the chicken , at this point you may increase the heat to allow the chicken to simmer for about 15mins.

Serve was is or with rice. you may also add flour if you prefer a thicken gravy like sauce.
