1 1/4 cup sugar
4 cups of flour
1/2 cup milk or water
2 tablespoons baking powder
3/4 cup oil
1/8 teaspoon anise oil
sprinkles or shaved almonds to top
Icing:
1 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
few tablespoons hot water
pinch of anise oil ( Use tip of tooth pick)
How 2:
Preheat the oven to 37fDF
in a mixer or bowl add flour, sugar, baking powder.
to this add eggs, oil water mix well.
I did this in a mixer because this was to much to mix by hand. I used the dough hook and let the dough work for about 15mins on med-low speed.
with a teaspoon measure out the dough form into balls.( you nay use a tablespoon to make larger size)
place on a greased baking sheet.
Bake on middle rack for about 8-9mins be sure they don't brown to much if they do they are over cooked!
repeat until all of the dough is done.
Allow them to cool.
Icing:
in a bowl add the sugar, anise oil and gradually add water until it forms it should be not to think or to thin and runny.
Take each cookie dip the top in icing , top with sprinkles or almonds.
repeat until you have iced every cookie.
allow the icing to set and dry.
serve with coffee or tea!
ENJOY!!
