Authentic Humus( Humus bi tahini)
2 can chick peas
1 1/2 lemons juiced
1/2 -1 cup tahini sauce(depends on the chickpeas)
3 cloves garlic(
salt
1/8th cup olive oil
Garnishes:
Olive oil to drizzle
cayenne pepper or paprika as garnish
How2:
In a pot add the 2 cans of chickpeas, place on med-high heat boil for about 10mins this will soften the chickpeas more making it easier to blend.
Once this is done place the hot chickpeas with their liquid into a blender or food processor.
Add, garlic, tahini sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, crushed garlic, and salt.
Puree until it comes together and becomes very smooth. With a spoon taste to see if you need more salt or lemon adjust it to your liking.
Pour into a plate, with a spoon make a small indent forming a small island shape in center this will hold the oil drizzle. Garnish then allow it to cool untill its ready to eat! ENJOY.
TIPS:For a spicy humus 1/8th teaspoon cayenne or 1 teaspoon chili paste.
