Rice Pilaf (rice with vermicelli)
1 cup of rice
1/4 -1/2 cup vermicelli (broken up)
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon salt
2cups water
How2:
In a pot on low heat add oil when it heats up add the crushed vermicelli. turn with spoon until it turns golden brown this happens quickly so be sure to stay near pot.add water,salt, increase heat.bring to a boil. once it boils add rice wait for it to boil again lower heat to low cover and cook for 20mins. once its cooked and its fluffy a great tip is to keep it on the stove with cover on a additional 15 mins this allows the liquid to redistribute and prevents rice from becoming mushy when you serve it.
